The importance of hydration in sports

When we engage in physical activity, our bodies excrete water through our pores through sweat.

With a 2 to 3% weight loss due to perspiration, we can lose up to 20% of our athletic performance. Therefore, it is VERY IMPORTANT to stay hydrated before, during, and after physical activity.

This lack of water is accompanied by a lack of electrolytes. This is why it is so important to stay well hydrated both before, during, and after each physical activity.

Good hydration is also one of the keys to athletic success, especially in long-duration events, to avoid dehydration and an increase in body temperature.

Don't wait until you're thirsty; try to take small sips every 15 or 20 mm.
